
Two families: one passion
Giovanna, a forward-thinking girl from Pamparato, a tiny rural village nestled in the mountains of Piemonte, every winter goes olive-picking in Aurigo, Liguria, a pretty hilly village rich by olive-trees on the Italian Riviera.
Giovanna, makes a very close friend with another girl called Giovanna, nicknamed "Nanina".
They are deeply linked to each other by an intense and only passion: natural food.
Their goal is to start looking for healthy, local food from their regions: Piemonte and Liguria.
By following old recipes they rediscover the flavours and the traditions of their villages.
In 1957 the two girls
developed a business selling products of their regions, promoting healthy eating and at the same time preserving the environment.
Shortly after, a bakery, a delicatessen shop and an olive mill were realized.
The two girls passed down to their grandchildren their enthusiasm and passion for the flavours and fragrances of the north - west Italian regional food.
Local products that come straight from the mountains, the hills, as well as from the sea along the Ligurian coast..

We opened a shop in London named "Da Giovanna" after our grandmas, importing excellent Italian food!
We want to provide a great gastronomic experience to all of you who really appreciate the pleasure for culinary Italian delights.
